The case for Orient
Orient's trump card is that it makes its own movements and doesn't cut the crystal to hit a price. The Kamasugives you sapphire, 200m and an in-house F6922 for around $300 — a spec sheet Seiko usually charges more for. The stated −15/+25 accuracy is tighter than Seiko's 4R36 factory spec, too. If you judge a watch by what's inside and on top of it, Orient wins this on paper.
The case for Seiko
Seiko wins everything around the watch. Its Lumibrite is the best lume in the price class by a wide margin. Its resale value holds better because the brand is more widely known.
