The plain-English version: this site is free because affiliate links pay for it, and those links never change our recommendations.

How the links work

Most product links on Dial & Date are affiliate links, primarily to Amazon.com. When you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission — at no extra cost to you. The price you pay is exactly the same as it would be if you'd found the product yourself.

Amazon Associates

Dial & Date is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. Our Amazon Associates tag is t5watches-20. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.

Our promise: buyer first, always

Here's the part that matters. A commission neverdecides which watch we recommend. When a cheaper watch is the better buy for you, that's the one we rank first — even when it pays us less, and even when it's from a brand we can't earn a commission on at all. Some watches we recommend (certain microbrands) aren't sold on Amazon and we earn nothing from linking them; we link them anyway when they're the right call. Our rankings come from our published method, not from what pays best.

About the prices

Prices on this site are pulled live from Amazon's Product API and stamped with the date we last verified them. Prices change constantly, and the price shown on Amazon at the time of purchase is the one that counts. Where we can't verify a current price, we show none and the button reads "Check price on Amazon" — we would rather show a gap than a number that has gone stale.

Other programs

If we ever add links through other affiliate networks (for example a watch-subscription service), the same rules apply: clearly disclosed, never allowed to influence our picks. Every earning link on the site carries a rel="sponsored" attribute, as required by search-engine guidelines.
