The affordable-mechanical world is badly served here, and we'll say so out loud. These are the watches that are genuinely small, genuinely mechanical, and genuinely worth buying — not shrunk-down quartz with a jeweled bezel.
Let's start with the problem rather than the product. Search "women's automatic watch" and you mostly get quartz watches with crystals on the bezel, or men's models photographed on a slim wrist. The genuine category — real self-winding mechanical movements in cases under 38mm — is small, and it has been shrinking for years as the industry chased 42mm.
